I was thrilled when my cousin (wife's side) Kelly started talking about getting a new blog! She is a gifted writer, but sometimes gifted writer's don't have "gifted" personalities. Not so with Kelly. She is one of the funnest people to hang out with. Whenever Gahbey (as she calls me) gets to hang out with Kel-Kel (family lingo) it's always a swell time. We recently spent some time with her down in Florida, and she blessed Marla and I with free babysitting as we went to the Orange Bowl to watch the Hokies! I'll never forget that (the game or Kelly's blessing).

She wanted a magazine style of a blog, chose the design style to go with, and off we were to the races. I'm excited for her to be using this new WordPress blog, and I'm sure you'd enjoy her posts! Head over to KellyDowning.com to check it out! Thanks for letting me help you out Kelly!

It's always fun to hang out with Kary Oberbrunner (author, pastor, recovering pharisee). He's been running the idea of merging both his blog and his website together for a little while. He uses his sites quite a bit to share thoughts and news on his books and interviews. Part of the fun for me is hearing when someone isn't really thrilled with their online presence and providing them with something that they will definitely be happy with.

Kary and I also went to college together, and it was great to see God connect us both here in Columbus, OH. Kary's doing great work on staff at Grace Church of Powell, and you will definitely want to purchase his books while checking out the new site!

Fred McKinnon is the Worship Director at St. Simons Community Church on St. Simons Island, GA. He and I have been in touch online for a few years, and I had fun interviewing him on episode #33 of our podcast. Fred was already using WordPress, but was interested in having a nicer design applied to the site.

It was nice to see that his readers thought the new design was much easier to read and navigate. Those are two things that I find to be very important, and am glad I could accomplish that for his blog. Fred let me know what colors and layout he wanted with the site, and it's exciting to give someone a site they're proud of. Thanks Fred!

My brother, a youth pastor here in Ohio, enjoys sharing his thoughts and also wanted to get switched over to WordPress after seeing how easy it was for Marla and I to get going. I like his name, and it was fun to create a nice logo for his new place on the web. If it looks like something you've seen before, it's the TT logo from the back of the Audi TT car. I thought it fit well!

Tug has a personality unlike anyone else I've ever met, so it's guaranteed that there's not a blog like it on the web. He shares his heart as deep as anyone does, and has compassion for people that is unmatched. I'm excited that he can now write more often and look forward to adding a few features very soon!

At first (a few years ago) my wife didn't really feel like getting started with a blog. 3 years, 700+ blog entries, and over 11,000 comments later I'm thrilled to see how God has used her blog. We moved her Xanga blog over to this nice new WordPress blog overnight, but it wasn't a smooth process (because of the amount of content). She is thrilled with the design, and has had lots of compliments on it!

I'm glad that it is now an easy place for her to share her days, family, writing, and experiences with people. That's one thing I love to do most - help my wife enjoy the talents God has given her. You should definitely check it out! Let me know if you're interested in a new blog as well!
